Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don’t matter and those who matter don’t mind. -Bernard M. Baruch
More times than not we tend to care too much about what people think of us. We’re afraid to be who we are because we’re scared we won’t be accepted.
But whose acceptance matters most to you? Society’s? People you love/ that loves you? Or yours?
Think about it. Society always has it’s rules about ‘the perfect this’/’the perfect that’ and the ‘don’t say this/don’t say that’, so forget Society. And if the people you love and care about truly love you, then they’ll accept you for who you are. They’ll accept your crazy, your tendency to talk too much. Your overbearingness. Your religion/beliefs. If they don’t…then do they really love you? And if you can’t accept yourself, who can?
Let’s be honest. We all have bad traits/habits because, well, nobody’s perfect. So instead of putting each other down and forcing each other to be someone we aren’t, let’s embrace what we do love about each other.
God loves us, so let’s love each other.
And that’s why this quote is this week’s challenge. As a matter of fact, make it your life’s challenge. Embrace the good in each other. Love one another. Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don’t matter and those who matter don’t mind!
Have a great week!
